Terms and Conditions
CIDOC 2021 ‘Symbiosis of Tradition and Digital Technology’ is organised by National Heritage Board (Muinsuskaitseamet), a state authority.
This document sets out the terms and conditions between National Heritage Board and CIDOC 2021 conference ticket holders.
By purchasing a ticket for the CIDOC 2021 conference, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions.
National Heritage Board reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any amended terms and conditions will be posted to this website.
All prices indicated on the www.cidoc2021.com website are in euros and include Estonian VAT 20%.
Student tickets are only valid in combination with a valid student ID. This must be presented at the badge pick-up and shown on request to gain admission to the event venue. If no such verification is provided, the purchased ticket is invalid, and the person will not be granted access to the event.
ICOM member tickets are only valid together with a valid ICOM membership. ICOM members are requested to provide their member ID during registration.
Refund and cancellation policy
Full refund of the conference fee is possible for the cancellations before 31/07/2021.
A cancellation fee of €50 applies for any cancellations between 1/08/2021 and 31/8/2021.
Cancellations after 31/8/2021 will not be refunded. If you cannot attend, you may transfer the registration to another person.
To cancel your registration and ask for a refund, you should send an e-mail to: email@example.com.
National Heritage Board will return the amount to be refunded to the Payers bank account in 14 days.
It is possible to allocate the ticket to a third party if the ticket has been fully paid for. Ticket holder name, company or any other information can be changed by the person who purchased the ticket. The person should send an e-mail with the request and the name and e-mail of the new ticket owner to firstname.lastname@example.org. Each new ticket holder will then receive the confirmation e-mail.
Please note that changes to ticket holder details can be made only until 10 days prior to the event.
The tickets purchased are for your own personal use and may not be re-sold or transferred for commercial gain under any circumstances. In case of re-sale or attempted re-sale of any tickets (or any other breach of this term), National Heritage Board reserves the right to cancel the relevant tickets with immediate effect.
National Heritage Board will not be liable for granting any visas that are required to attend the conference. In case the attendee’s visa is not granted, registration can be cancelled and tickets refunded according to the refund and cancellation policy.
Terms of payment
In order to buy tickets, you must fill in the registration form, where you can choose the ticket type. After choosing the ticket type, the amount of payment will be shown. If all necessary fields are filled, you can proceed with payment. The following methods of payment are available in the online store:
- MasterCard and VISA credit cards
- Pay by invoice, the term of payment is 30 days net.
National Heritage Board online store accepts only euros and uses the payment system of Maksekeskus AS, www.maksekeskus.ee.
National Heritage Board is the data controller. If you choose to purchase a conference ticket via our website, we will collect your payment information and forward it to the data processor (Maksekeskus AS) in order to process payments.
National Heritage Board may request verification of payment for the purpose of resolving possible disputes about the purchase.
Entering the event
After purchasing a ticket for CIDOC 2021 conference you will receive an automatically generated registration confirmation. This confirmation should be kept for acclaiming your CIDOC 2021 badge that will grant access to CIDOC 2021.
The pick-up locations and opening hours will be communicated on the www.cidoc2021.com website and by email at least 2 weeks prior to the event. When picking up the badge, the customer must present the confirmation received by e-mail as well as a valid ID.
Event cancellation, postponement & substitution policy
While speakers and topics are confirmed at least 2 months before the CIDOC 2021 conference, circumstances beyond the control of the organizers may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations of the speakers and/or topics. As such, National Heritage Board reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised speakers and/or topics if necessary without any liability to you whatsoever. Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on our web page as soon as possible.
If the event is being cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (force majeure), ticket buyers will be refunded the total price of the purchased ticket(s). National Heritage Board does not hold itself liable for any other expenses incurred.
In case of rescheduling CIDOC 2021 conference, tickets may be returned by a deadline to be determined by National Heritage Board.
National Heritage Board will not be liable for any loss injury or damage to any person or property however caused. National Heritage Board will not be responsible for any tickets that are lost or stolen. Each participant must make provision for his or her own insurance.
National Heritage Board reserves the right to refuse admission to any event or conference for any behaviour, which it deems unacceptable, or for breach of the terms and conditions.
